Gogglebox returns this week but hairdresser and regulars on the show Stephen Webb and his partner won’t be in the line-up.

The couple revealed to fans that Stephen had tested positive for Covid so would be unable to film for the popular telly watching show.

Posting on Instagram from his home isolation room, he began, “This is a message to the Gogglebox crew, good luck filming this week can’t wait to see you Friday, I need a laugh… desperately”.

With his partner Daniel in view at a safe distance behind him, he added: “We can’t film this week because I’ve got Covid.”

As he showed fans around his room, fellow Googlebox stars were quick to wish the hairdresser well.

His co stars Ellie Warner, as well as Dave and Shirley, posted their well wishes to him as he battles the virus.

Stephen captioned the post: “Gogglebox Back this Friday C4 9pm, gutted we won’t be back for episode 1. Looking forward to seeing everyone.”

Dave and Shirley replied: “It’s a nightmare isn’t stephen, but it’s a break for Daniel.”

“Hope to see you back very soon! Get well soon,” said Ellie Warner.

The post has already had over 65,500 views with fans keen to offer support.

One wrote: “Awwwww get well soon Stephen.. it won’t be the same without you guy”.
