Two arrested and crack cocaine found after dangerous driving

Two people were arrested after police found suspected crack cocaine after pulling over a car.

Officers pulled the car over in Outram Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield, at around 6.30pm on the evening of Wednesday, February 2.

A subsequent search of the vehicle and its occupants uncovered a significant quantity of what is believed to be crack cocaine, as well as cannabis, cash and mobile phones.

Two people, a 24-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman, were detained in connection with the investigation.

The man was arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply, possession of a class b drug, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.

The woman was arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply.

Sergeant Paul Peatfield, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “I hope this latest stop sends a clear message that if vehicles are being used to commit crime there is a high chance they will be spotted and they will be searched.”
