What happened on the A52 as police closed road near Clifton Bridge after crash

The A52 was closed by emergency services after a crash near Clifton Bridge.

The crash occurred near the junction of Thane Road slip road at around 10am on Monday, March 3.

Clifton Boulevard was closed and traffic being diverted via the slip road.

There was heavy traffic on Clifton Bridge going towards the Queen’s Medical Centre and Showcase Cinema.

Nottingham Travelwise said in a statement: “RTC on Clifton Boulevard A52 close to its junction with the Thane Road slip road.

“Emergency services have closed Clifton Boulevard and are diverting traffic through Thane Road slip road.

“Please allow extra time for your journey or use an alternative route.”
