A driver crashed off a main road before hitting a lamppost. Police have said that it was ‘remarkable’ that only minor injuries were sustained during the incident on the A38, which took place on the evening of Monday, March 14.
Derbyshire Policesaid the motorist drove through a barrier on the A38 before hitting a lamppost and hiving a near miss with a tree. A picture shared by the Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit shows the 4×4 vehicle involved on its side in a ditch at the side of the busy road.
Officers said that they had obtained samples for alcohol analysis. And added that the driver had “minor injuries”.
Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit, in a Twitter post, said: “A38. Spot the car. Driver hits barrier, knocks down a lamppost and then has a close up experience with the trees. Remarkably minor injuries. Samples obtained for alcohol analysis.”
