A popular leisure centre in Sutton-in-Ashfield closed ‘due to unforeseen circumstances’. Staff at the Lammas Leisure Centre, in Lammas Road, issued a statement on Monday morning (March 18) confirming the news.
In a statement, staff said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances the centre will remained closed until further notice. Many apologies for this, we will keep you all updated.”
The post garnered hundreds of comments from people asking for more information behind the closure, with people asking about swimming lessons, the centre’s ice rink and other activities.
The reason for the closure is unknown – and Nottinghamshire Live has asked those behind the leisure centre for more information. However, in an update staff confirmed the centre has reopened.
“Great news. All facilities are back open as normal,” managers said in a statement. “We look forward to seeing you all back soon. Love from the Lammas team.”
