A man and a woman were punched and two suspects arrested after an argument became violent. Police were called to a property in Glaisedale Drive East, Beechdale, at 8.30pm on Sunday night, March 27 after reports of a ‘disturbance’.
Police say they found a man with severe bruising having been repeatedly punched and a woman was also holding her face having been punched to the jaw. The man was taken to hospital with head injuries and a suspected fractured cheekbone. His condition is not thought to be life-altering or life-threatening, while the woman’s injuries were less severe.
Two suspects, a 28-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman, were found a short distance away and arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Inspector Peter Shaw, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This behaviour is unacceptable and officers were very quick to respond. We believe those involved in this isolated incident are known to each other and the assault happened following a fall-out between them.
“We would now ask anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any information or dash-cam footage to come forward by calling 101, quoting incident 616 of 27 March 2022.”
