Man arrested at service station after Nottingham burglary probe

A 39-year-old man was arrested after three burglaries in Nottingham prompted a police probe. He was apprehended at a service station in Staffordshire, police say.

It comes as the break-ins were reported in the Wollaton and Beechdale areas of Nottingham on February 18, March 20 and March 27 in Spean Drive, Wollaton Hall Drive and Eskdale Drive respectively. The man was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

Detective Constable Colin Kirkup, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “These kinds of break-ins are horrible for victims to experience and can leave them feeling insecure in their own homes.

“That’s why the force employs two specialist teams of detectives to investigate them and bring offenders to justice. I am pleased we now have a suspect in custody in relation to these incidents and our investigation continues.”
