Man taken to hospital after being attacked on doorstep in Sneinton

Three arrests have been made after a man was attacked on his doorstep in Sneinton. Crime scene investigators were seen in a residential street on the morning of Wednesday, April 13.

Colwick Road was taped off and an expansive cordon was set up while an investigation took place. It is understood the incident happened at around 11pm on Tuesday, April 12.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was attacked on his doorstep. He was taken to hospital with injuries which are not currently thought to be life-threatening or life-altering.

A car was spotted travelling at speed in the area and was stopped by police. Three occupants were detained. A 19-year-old man and two 20-year-old men were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and remain in custody.

Detective Inspector Ruby Burrow, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing into this incident, including checking CCTV, and we are urging anyone with any information or recorded footage to come forward.

“Violence of this nature will not be tolerated on our streets and the force will always do everything in its power to protect the public and ensure that those believed to be involved in violent crime are dealt with quickly and appropriately.

“Anyone who has information about the incident, or who may have recorded CCTV, mobile phone or dash-cam footage, is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 854 of 12 April 2022, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
