Hello and welcome to our traffic live blog on Thursday, April 14, ahead of the busy Easter period and Good Friday (April 15). This page will keep you up to date on everything that happens across Nottinghamshire roads throughout the long weekend as millions make holiday journeys.
Transport Secretary Grant Shapps has warned that travel networks will be “extremely busy” during the bank holiday weekend. And drivers are being warned to expect long queues on the UK’s major roads.
The RAC estimates some 21.5 million leisure trips will be made by car between Good Friday and Easter Monday. Updates here will include all the latest traffic and travel information including collisions, delays and roadworks on the M1, A52, A610 and A453. We’ll also be bringing you any other important news updates from the streets of Nottingham.
We will be here throughout the day, so, if you have a traffic, travel or roadwork story, or something you’ve seen while out and about across Nottinghamshire, then tell us about it. You can email newsdesk@nottinghampost.com or get in touch with us via our social media pages.
