A man has been hospitalised after an alleged knife attack in a Nottinghamshire village. Police were called to an address in Ruddington following reports that a man had suffered injuries to his stomach inside a house.
The 43-year-old had to be taken to hospital for treatment and police say, at this stage, his injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening. It is understood that the incident took place at around 9pm on Thursday, May 12.
A 42-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault and she remains in police custody. Detective Sergeant Lisa-Marie Jones, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We have arrested a woman in connection with this incident, which is still being investigated.
“As a force, we take all reports of this nature extremely seriously and we will always look to take robust action against anyone to be involved in violent crime, so that we can keep people safe. Our enquiries are still ongoing to establish exactly what happened, so we’d urge anyone that has any information that could help us to contact the police on 101, quoting incident 773 of 12 May 2022.”
