As Channel 4 brings in the celebs to cover the Gogglebox regulars on the popular show, it is Gok Wan who has got viewers talking. Firstly, for his ‘snowflake’ comment and next for a distracting optical illusion created during his appearance.

The fashion stylist and now TV Chef, has teamed up with Fearne Cotton to share the TV critic spotlight. Curling up on the sofa to watch the Netflix reality show ‘Snowflake Mountain’, Gok turned to Fearne and said: “I think I’m a snowflake” after hearing the definition of the term.

The show defines a snowflake as “a person who is considered overly emotional, easily offended and dramatic”. On hearing it, he laughed as he called himself the derogatory insult.

The new show, ‘Snowflake Mountain’, follows a group of ‘snowflakes’ as the show attempts to teach them life skills. Viewers see them gathered ready to take their first challenge. A group of young people are dropped off on the side of a hill. In response to this, the camera cut to one of the young people saying: “I’m done. I’m calling the cops.”

But viewers’ attention then turned to something else – the shot showing Fearne and Gok’s sofa, cushions and blankets, according to Manchester Evening News. Fans took to social media to point out the unfortunate appearance of the folded blanket next to his leg on the show.

The pattern appeared to some to look like an electronic tag on his ankle. Fans were quick to take to social media to point out the optical illusion created by the pattern.

On Twitter one fan said: “Why does Gok Wan appear to be electronically tagged? #celebritygogglebox #gogglebox”. Another added: “Is Gok wearing an ankle tag #CelebrityGogglebox.” While a third tweeted: “Is gok wan electronically tagged? #CelebrityGogglebox”
