Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service has issued a warning following a destructive shed fire in Ashfield. During the early hours of Monday, June 4, firefighters from Ashfield Fire Station responded to reports of a fire in Huthwaite.

The fire had spread to a neighbours property and was extinguished using 1 hose reel jet. Breaking in gear and a thermal imaging camera was also used to help put out the blaze.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. However, the fire service issued a reminder to people to ensure that flames are put out if they are having a bonfire or barbecue.

Picture from Ashfield Fire Station showed the devastating effect that the fire had on the shed.
