Live Download Festival 2022 updates and traffic news as fans prepare for final headliner Biffy Clyro

Thousands of people have made their way to Download Festival at Donington Park for the much-anticipated rock event. Early bird fans headed to the site on Wednesday (June 8) to secure the best camping spots, and many more piled in for the weekend of music which began on Friday (June 10).

Saturday night’s event (June 11) saw music lovers in fancy dress see their favourite acts, with legendary rock band Iron Maiden headlining. And, on Sunday (June 12), fans will do it all over again ahead of a day headlined by Biffy Clyro.

Download offers day tickets as well the weekend camping option. It is the first full event back at the site since 2019 due to Covid.

In other Download news, more East Midlands Airport flights have been diverted as reports of drones flying close to the airport continued. Reports blamed the festival for the drones.
