A tree falling onto train tracks is causing disruption for rail travellers. Train operator East Midlands Railway (EMR) has Tweeted to say that a tree is blocking the railway in the Sutton-in-Ashfield area between Mansfield and Nottingham.
This is affecting services travelling in both directions through Nottingham, Bulwell, Hucknall, Newstead, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Sutton Parkway, Mansfield and Mansfield Woodhouse. EMR says they are currently unable to run any trains at present between Nottingham, Mansfield and Worksop.

Engineers are on the way to move the tree and the train affected, but it is not known how long this will take before the tree is safely removed, and services can return to normal again. EMR Tweeted the update at 3.35pm, as rush hour approaches.
