One of the delights of summer is fresh, in season, soft fruit. Ripe juicy strawberries, delicate raspberries and blueberries a plenty. If you haven’t created your own little garden fruit crop, then a ‘pick your own’ site is the next best thing.
Throughout Nottinghamshire and the surrounding areas, there are several locations where you can indulge in a pleasant afternoon’s picking whilst selecting the best fruit to boost your five-a-day intake. Below is a list of sites but do check with the venue before making a trip.
Fruit may not be ready, out of season, or simply all picked: Opening times do change with the seasons to reflect these factors. Some sites may also ask you to take your own container – which will save costs and the environmental impact.

Some will ask you to leave your dog at home for the trip, while others will ask you to consider the weather and check availability before setting off. With all that in order, you’re ready to ‘pick it, weigh it and then pay for it’.
