Police name Nottingham man charged over shooting

A man from Nottingham has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder in connection with an alleged shooting in the West Midlands. The incident was reported to have taken place at a property in Grove Lane, in Wishaw in Sutton Coldfield, on September 5 last year.

In the early hours of Friday (June 24) morning, police said Darren Hattersley, 53, of Thrumpton in Nottingham had been charged with conspiracy to commit murder. Vito Dimarco, 35, of Swadlincote, Derbyshire, and Nathan Odley, 42, of Derby, had also received the same charge.

Also charged was Pamiela O’Conor, 37, of Chellaston, Derby, with perverting the course of justice. All four were remanded to appear before Coventry Magistrates’ Court later on Friday, June 24.

Following the incident, a spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called by the police to reports of a shooting on Grove Lane, Wishaw, Sutton Coldfield at 1.22pm on Sunday, September 5.

“Two paramedic officers, an ambulance and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance with a doctor and paramedic on board attended the scene. Crews treated one man on scene who had sustained serious injuries before conveying him by land ambulance on blue lights to hospital for further treatment.”
