Concern at ‘ghost town’ as major clothing store shuts its doors
It follows last weeks announcement that a Boots' branch was set to close

Police were called to city centre tram stop after reports of an incident. Nottingham Express Transit reported their trams were stopped after a police incident at the Old Market Square tram stop at around 4pm on June 17.
Officers were called to the tram just before 3.40pm following a report of an incident on a tram. The tram was stopped and searched in response but no further action was taken.
In a Twitter post, NET said: “Due to an ongoing incident at the Old Market Square tram stop, we have no tram services between Royal Centre and Nottingham Station. We’re sorry for any inconvenience but we hope to be moving through soon”

Inspector Nick Wood, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers were called to Old Market Square tram stop in Nottingham city centre, shortly before 3.40pm today ( June 17) following a report of an incident on a tram.
“Officers quickly worked with our partners at Nottingham Express Transit to bring the tram to a stop. Following a search of the tram it was deemed no further action was required and the line has now been re-opened.”
