A suspect was arrested just five minutes after police received reports of a sexual assault at Nottingham train station late on Tuesday night.
The arrest came after a description of the alleged offender was circulated to police officers. The suspected was arrested minutes later on suspicion of sexual assault by touching.
Sharing details of the incident on social media in the early hours of this morning, British Transport Police Nottingham said: “At 23:12 officers were made aware of a report of a sexual assault at Nottingham station. 23:14 officers arrive on the scene and speak with the victim.
“A description of the offender is passed. 23:17 further officers locate and arrest the suspect for sexual assault by touching.”
