Staff and pupils have been told to stay away from a Nottinghamshire school after it was closed by a water leak. Toot Hill School in Bingham was closed on Thursday June 30, with a water leak meaning there were no washing or food facilities available on the site.
Pupils will have to work from home while the issue is fixed at the secondary school. Staff were also told to stay away while the water leak was resolved.
In a statement on their website, the school said: “Toot Hill School is closed today because of a water leak on site meaning there are no washing or food facilities. No staff or students should come to school. Work for students will be posted on Teams.”
Toot Hill School was built in 1969, and was announced to be one of 50 schools that would be rebuilt as part of the second stage of a Government programme in 2021. Toot Hill Secondary also incorporates a Sixth Form.
