A major route in Nottingham was temporarily blocked by the emergency services due to an incident. The incident happened on the A52 Clifton Boulevard as it heads past the Queen’s Medical Centre.

The busy road is used by up to 15,000 vehicles every day. The incident has reportedly happened close to the slip road near Abbey Street but it has since reopened.

Nottingham City Council’s traffic control says: “Lane one of two south-east bound on A52 Clifton Boulevard close to its slip road with Abbey Street is currently blocked by emergency services. Please allow extra time for your journey as delays are building on A52 Clifton Boulevard southeast bound, or use an alternative route.”

This is a live incident and we will be bringing you the latest updates in the blog below.
