He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, June 25. He is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on July 29.

Bailey was remanded in custody. A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray and causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in custody.

Detective Constable Sarah Gregg, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers were on the scene very quickly. Violence of this sort will not be tolerated in Nottinghamshire and the swift and robust response to this incident shows just how seriously we treat these type of offences.

“While we have now charged a suspect in connection with this incident our enquiries are continuing. I would urge anyone who saw what happened, or who may have recorded CCTV or dashcam footage which could assist us with our investigation, to please get in touch.”
